Bear is extremely affectionate with both of us & plays well with our JRT (Cody) - he has more energy than Cody. Bear would do well on a farm or as a guard dog. He is full of personality, extremely smart alert, curious & vocal. He responds very well to food reward training; he loves to eat, fortunately he has plenty of energy to burn it off. His energy works well in training him. He loves the outdoors, but is also happy to snuggle on our lap or in bed. It takes some time for him to adjust to new people. Bear prefers squeek toys, small tennis balls (rips them apart).
Tug is my timid momma's boy. I believe he may be stressed by Bear & Cody as he is a "different" dog without them around. He loves going for off-leash walks in the woods where he stays close by but is free to run and explore. He loves to ride in the truck with me, especially when it is just he & I. He does not have quite the energy of Bear, but still enjoys running. He is more of a loner & one-person bonder. Tug is not motivated by food & has a bit of a stubborn streak. He is much less vocal than Bear. Tug also likes to snuggle too, but is a bit jittery & nervous with sudden movements /noises (standing up, sneezing) by my husband, but not me. Tug prefers soft toys to chew & likes to play ball / fetch with small tennis balls. Tug wants to & tries to play with Cody, but Cody wants nothing to do with him.
